For $300–$450 depending on configuration, you get a machine that produces prints indistinguishable from printers costing twice as much. The A1 Mini at the low end is the best $200–$250 you can spend in 3D printing, period.

The Elegoo Neptune 4 series and Sovol SV07 are credible alternatives in this bracket, particularly if you value Klipper's openness over Bambu's polish, but neither ships with a multi-material system that works as seamlessly.

Best for Business / Print Farms: Prusa MK4S or Bambu P1S

Print farms care about three things: uptime, part consistency, and total cost per gram. The Prusa MK4S — with its input shaping firmware, load-cell bed leveling, and direct-drive extruder optimized for flexibles — remains the gold standard for farms printing engineering materials. Prusa's 24/7 support and the ability to source every replacement part yourself are worth real money when a machine going down costs you orders.

Resin Printing: Best for Miniatures and Detail Work

If you need smooth surfaces, fine detail, and no visible layer lines — for miniatures, jewelry, or display models — resin is the correct tool.
